About Our Dawson Creek Local Area

The city of Dawson Creek, located near the Alberta border in Northeastern British Columbia, is perhaps best known at the “Mile 0” point of the Alaska Highway. As the seat of the Peace River Regional District, it serves as the major service centre and transportation hub for surrounding Peace River communities.

Northern Alberta Railway Park

Representing the true “Mile 0” point of the Alaska Highway, the four-acre Northern Alberta Railway Park in the centre of Dawson Creek is the site of the Dawson Creek Station Museum, Dawson Creek Art Gallery, Visitors Centre, souvenir shop and more. Walter Wight Pioneer Village

Rotary Lake
